Refazer-se: ser migrante em tempos de pandemia

Abstract

This article addresses identity through immersion in a pandemic context. Initially, it presents the theoretical framework taken from the theory of identity developed by Ciampa (1987), with emphasis on the phrase identity-metamorphosis-emancipation. From the life story narrated by a migrant, we can see how the pandemic is able to accelerate the metamorphosis that individuals go through, by turning the “innocent girl migrant” who had come from the interior of Brazil into “empowered woman migrant”.
