Abstract

We take some of the metaphors of time and childhood as constituents of memory, as they stamp the social text in literature. Based on the works of Lúcia Tindó Secco (1996 and 1999) seminal texts of discourses on the subject. And, to this end, in addition to the poems: O Menino e o Búzio, by Sebastião Alba and Saudade and Astonishment, Mark Dennis Velhinho, we look into some excerpts from other African poets that enlighten us, in short, to the analysis of the poems.
