Abstract

The purpose of this article is to show that experiences of Brazilian immigrants settled in the U.S. engender peculiars ways of being , seeing and feeling the world by what is written, spoken, represented and disseminated primarily through its media, be it physical or virtual. Such worldviews, marked by subjectivities in transit may be what Boaventura de Sousa Santos defines by ecology of knowledge, interpreted as counter-hegemonic methodologies and theories of analysis.
