Panorama do perfil epidemiológico de migrantes na cidade de São Paulo: análise do perfil de internações a partir de 2020

Abstract

After COVID-19 pandemic, there is little literature approaching the epidemiologic profile of migrants in Brazilian territory. Thus, this study analyzed the hospitalization profile of migrants in Sao Paulo city aiming to fill this gap. The main data platforms used were TabNet - Prefeitura de São Paulo (DATASUS) and Banco de dados interativo NEPO/UNICAMP. Indeed, these tools were useful to understand nationalities, the cause of the hospitalization and age of migrants hospitalized. On balance, it is important to highlight the need for more epidemiologic studies focusing on the post-pandemic period, providing a deeper comprehension of migrant population in Brazil.
