The image and the photograph have been propositive for analysis and reflection of the lived world. In this premise, the objective of this article is to analyze the strategies of mobility and permanence of migrant groups in Brazil, especially Haitians, understanding that such strategies can be absorbed and interpreted by photographs, by images and by different interpretations of the real. Obviously, a migratory process is not reflected as a whole, but it is also an exercise in alterity and empathy, so necessary to migration policies in the country and to society’s vision of what migrants are and migration. We will analyze photographic images of fieldwork between the years 2015 and 2018 in the states of Acre and Rio Grande do Sul, where, through the consolidation of their collective, mobility and permanence strategies are one of the most incisive. In this way we intend to transpose academic knowledge in order to get closer and closer to an effective proposal of reality transformation.
