The purpose of this article is to present the Oral History Project developed by Museu da Imigração entitled “Mulheres em movimento: migração e mobilização feminina no estado de São Paulo” [Women in moviment: migration and women’s mobilization in the state of São Paulo], which began in July 2015. Since then have been accomplished interviews with eight women migrants, all residents in the city of São Paulo, of different ages, backgrounds (so far, women from countries in South America, such as Bolivia, Chile and Peru), with works and projects in various areas. The project was developed from an observation of a growing mobilization and conquest of space by these women, especially in recent years, in the city of São Paulo. The proposal is to reflect on the migration process and the mobility experience in a women’s and gender perspective.
