This article proposes to do some considerations about the academic production focused on the topic of Hispano americans in Brazil in the last twenty-five years. Taking as a reference the author’s own research experience among the Bolivians in São Paulo, the text throws some hypotheses regarding the great interest of researchers about questions related to the Bolivian’s group and not for others, which face similar difficulties in São Paulo. In order to do this, two databases were consulted: the dissertation and thesis bank of Capes and the Center for Migration Studies (CEM) database. Finally, taking as an example the case of the Venezuelans in the North Region, it is intended to point out some theoretical-methodological challenges to the migratory studies focused on the Hispano-americans theme in Brazil.
