Abstract

We investigated the diaspora of migrants from Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul to Paraná, mainly from the 1940s to the 1970s, recovering trajectories in the socio-spatial memory of those who migrated in search of land. It happened in the context of the “March to the West” during the Presidency of Getúlio Vargas, with the creation in 1943 of General Osorio (CANGO) Agricultural Settlement, and within a process of constituting social networks between migrants, family and friends. This migration is understood according to process of de-territorialization and re-territorialization.
