The aim of this paper is to analyze the migratory processes from Argentineans to Spain, as well as their characteristics after Argentine crisis in 2001. Using quantitative methodological perspectives, we identify the most important migratory waves that occurred by the end of the seventies, during the eighties, and in the beginning of the 21st century. Besides, we studied population composition according to gender, age, education level and citizenship. Some of these characteristics show peculiarities of Argentinean immigration when compared to the rest of non communitarian immigrants. However, others characteristics indicate that we are dealing with economic migrants. We concluded that the Argentinean migration patterns have changed and the emigration of natives has become a structural process.
