Abstract

The article aims to discuss the potentialities and challenges of the use of interviews and ethnographic descriptions in research to contemporary migratory processes, from two empirical researches experiences. The methods were adequate for the requirements of the researches. The goal was to study the mobility projects and the construction of social identities in the migration process. The access to the structural and particular issues experienced by migrants and their families was made possible by field study research. Thus, the search for new interpretations for fieldwork data was also a challenge reported by the researchers in this article.
