As a response for the pandemic period we adapt to new forms of interaction, communication and conviviality, so there is an interest in seeking what measures the health agencies defined as necessary to contain the spread of the virus through the country. It is intended to analyze the adaptations decreed by Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) to the national airlines as a way to contain and prevent the spread of the COVID-19, without the shutdown of the sector. The used methodology was based on bibliography research, documentary research and analyses of the information and structure availables of the sites in their operations protocols. The Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil e Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária were selected as the reference bodies who dictates the security measures to be followed by the airlines in the country. It was possible to identify the form in which the airlines framed the information about public health and about the prevention of COVID-19 in their communication channels. So, based on our analyses it was possible to assess the following measures adopted by the Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, Gol Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes e Latam Airlines Brasil, which are the use of facial mask for air crew and passengers, disponibilization of online check-in pre-flight, offline totens, reduced on board service and aircraft maintenance, which all applied to national flights aiming to contain the spread of the disease. The need of dislocation during an outbreak brings a rational discussion about air borders and their correlation to this scenario, as well as about the indispensable adaptations to the civil aviation sector. In this way, it was possible to conclude that air modal continues to be the safest way of transportation, but it does not exclude the need for in-flight transmission risk assessment, similarly, some measures as flight bans, temperature screening and use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) does not prevent cases importation, but rather delays it.
