The objective of this article is to understand the process of human mobility and immobility of Venezuelan immigrants living in the city of Manaus / AM and their strategies for survival through a health crisis. The world was marked in the year 2020 by a pandemic that originated in China and spread rapidly across all continents. In Brazil, the first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in February and, from that moment, measures were taken and laws were created at the federal, state and municipal levels (decrees, ordinances, resolutions, normative instructions) aimed at tackling the new coronavirus. Our routine changed unexpectedly, international borders were closed, restrictions on internal displacement, limitations on economic and work activities. Several spaces, whether public or private, had their activities interrupted, such as universities, schools, shopping centers, restaurants, among other establishments, in order to avoid agglomerations and try to control the contamination of the virus. Several workers began to perform their work activities remotely and many others who performed informal activities without social labor guarantees had their situation of socioeconomic vulnerability even more pronounced. We were experiencing a scenario of unprecedented social isolation and forced quarantine.
