Os direitos dos imigrantes à luz da Lei nº 13.445 de 24 de maio de 2017 (Nova Lei de Migração): uma análise a partir do município de Maringá

Abstract

This article deals with the human rights of people in the status of migrants granted in international treaties, as well as in national laws, in particular Law n. 13.445 of May 24th, 2017 (New Migration Law). Considering that Maringá is a city that attracts migrant people, the question arises to what extent this city of Paraná has developed projects, policies and laws to comply with current regulations. Using the deductive method, it will first address the international and national regulations applied to migrants. After the theoretical and legal foundation on the topic, it analyses the need for the consolidation of a cosmopolitan citizenship, verifies the importance of the network in the lives of these populations and presents the structure available in the Municipality of Maringá for immigrants who arrive here. At the end, it was possible to verify that the city has effectively sought to comply with current regulations, through projects and policies to integrate and welcome these populations.
