The objective of this study is to discuss the refugees living conditions on past years in Brazil. The paper focuses on the fundamental right to education and childhood, based on the Sociology of Childhood and the cultural-historical theory of Vigotski. The discussions are based on documents prepared by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the National Committee for Refugees in Brazil.
