The number of immigrants and refugees has increased in recent years in Brazil and the city ofSão Paulo. For years, the city of São Paulo has been characterized as a pole of attraction formigrants, with several services already destined to this population. However, with the change in profile and number, services have reinvented themselves to meet the demands. Mental health issues emerged as important elements in the perception of professionals, which meant that programs and projects were developed to guarantee specific support. Some mental health support services are presented briefly for this population today in the city of São Paulo. The Program of Social and Cultural Psychiatry (ProSol), which provides psychiatric care, is presented in more detail considering its specificities in providing access and care to immigrants and refugees.
